  • Best Tool for studying for PPL exams (CAA)

I have been looking around for a good online tool to help with Air law and Ops exam. I have heard that easy PPL ground school is great any other recommendations.

So I used PPL Tutor back when I did mine which was brilliant. But I believe that it’s now only for EASA exams. They’re going to be pretty much identical, but just in case, another app somebody recommended to me recently was “PPL Exam Preparation” and that has CAA exams I think

Yeah I had to buy a new Air Law pilot manual because when I initially started it was in 2021 and they hadn’t updated the manuals, it is becoming an absolute pain. However, it looks pretty good for checking knowledge in an exam style way. Thanks!

I think a lot of places are scrambling to catch up. The rules seem to change every week at the moment!

Easy PPL ground school, really easy online presentation of study material, mock exams very similar to the actual new online exams, absolute godsend for me when I was studying, particularly the trickier exams such as flight planning and performance, met and nav.

I’ve seen them mentioned a few times. Pricey, but their stuff looks really good

Pricey? I don’t think so. For just over a tenner you get full colour material (you don’t need any other study material – in fact if you do buy books they will be out of date and some of them actually contain incorrect information). Included in the Easy PPPL Groundschool fee is access to progress test as yu study, plus end of course exam (mock) which you can take 9 or 10 times BEFORE you see ANY repeat questions. Oh, and you also get “Ask an Instructor”, which includes email, telephone, zoom or even face to face support if you need it. We respiknd astoundingly quickly to queries too. Trustpilot reviews – 5 stars across the board 100% of the time. Over 6000 students studying with us passing first time. So, we think we’re too cheap actually!

Easy PPL Groundschool is the back engine for the courses available here on PilotHub.

Tbf, I didn’t think they were that expensive, I used them for 4 of the exams, if memory serves I think it was £12.99 for one months access to course content, progress and mock tests. I actually found having done their mocks that the exam proper was easier.
